I have an awesome side dish for you guys today! These aren’t just any plain ol’ green beans. No, siree! These are green beans that are tossed with some red onions that have been slightly sautéed and then mixed with a vinegar, Dijon mustard sauce.
This delicious sauce has a slightly tangy bite that will have your taste buds doing the rumba:)
AND with this recipe taking less than 10 minutes to cook? You just can’t beat that!
Ingredients
- 1½ lbs green beans, trimmed
- 1 tbsp butter
- ½ red onion, sliced
- 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Bring green beans to a boil and cook until tender (6-8 minutes). Drain.
- While green beans are cooking add butter to pan and melt over medium heat.
- Add red onion and sauté slightly.
- Turn off heat and add vinegar and mustard, stirring until combined.
- Add drained green beans and season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Toss to coat.

What a great side with left-over turkey sandwiches! You just can’t do green beans any harm as they are always great and there are so many ways to prepare them……….YUM! Thanks Adrian
