Are you guys tired of recipes that include leftover turkey? I sure hope not because this ground turkey stew is uh-MAY-zing!
The thing about the turkey in this recipe is that it doesn’t use your leftover Thanksgiving turkey. Lean ground turkey is what’s in here. Meaning…you can make it anytime you get a hankering for it. Not just when you have a leftover turkey.
Quick, simple, hearty and oh so scrumptious. What more could you ask for in a stew? Uhm, not much in my opinion
Ingredients
- 1lb ground turkey
- ½ medium onion, chopped
- 4 cups potatoes, diced (3-4 large potatoes)
- 1 (15.25-ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 (15-ounce) can sweet peas, drained
- 3 cups chicken broth
- salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Brown ground turkey and onion in a pot; drain off any fat.
- Add the potatoes, corn, peas and chicken broth.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 20-25 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
- Season, to taste, with salt and pepper.

The great thing about post Christmas is the left over turkey. I am a HUGE fan. Turkey stew sounds delicious.

This sounds like it would be great as a crock pot meal (after I brown the ground meat.)
