Homemade Taco Seasoning

Homemade Taco Seasoning is definitely in my top five kitchen pantry items. We go through bunches of this stuff. It’s so easy to make and cost just a fraction of the cost of store bought taco seasoning.

My family is a humongous taco fan! Not only do I make tacos but I make a Hamburger Helper Crunchy Taco Copycat recipe that my youngest daughter, Tori, helped create. She’s a huge Hamburger Helper fan.

This recipe makes about 1/2 cup but you could easily double it or even quadruple it if the need ever arises. I use about a tablespoon per pound of meat but my family is not one for a lot of heat. Me? Bring it on! So, of course, if I ever get the chance to cook just for myself (um, right) I’ll probably add 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons of this mix. It’s all about what your tastes are.
