Mmmmmm…mushrooms! These little gems are my favorite. Whether you cook them to top your baked potato, hamburger, steak or hamburger steak, they are fabulicious.
I even like to eat them all. by. themselves! No kidding. Cook me a serving or two of these sautéed mushrooms and I will eat them right out of the skillet.
Sauteed with a little oil, butter, garlic, chicken broth and tossed with some parsley? You just can’t get them no better.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp oil
- 8oz whole mushrooms cut in half
- 1 tbsp butter
- salt, to taste
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- ½ tbsp chopped parsley

- Heat the oil in a skillet on medium high heat.
- Add mushrooms in a single layer. Do Not Stir.
- Let mushrooms cook about 5 minutes. Add butter.
- Season mushrooms with salt, to taste.
- Add garlic and cook about 2 minutes stirring constantly.
- Add chicken brother and simmer until liquid evaporates.
- Toss with parsley.

I love mushrooms. Never thought to use chicken broth. I’m going to give it a try with a little onion too. Thanks for sharing.
