Valentine Popcorn Balls

Valentine Popcorn Balls | Life With Garnish

These Valentine Popcorn Balls are so easy to make and my kids love them. You can make them any size that tickles your fancy.

You can also tailor them to any holiday. With Valentines Day coming up I thought now would be a good time to share this incredibly easy and yummy recipe. Just in case you wasn’t aware of it

I’ve always made popcorn balls the traditional way…you know, sugar, corn syrup, butter, etc. but then one day my kiddos asked me to make them some rice krispie treats. I didn’t have any rice krispies and wasn’t running to the store (a 30 minute round trip, mind you) to purchase any either.

I then decided to try making “treats” with popcorn. The first batch didn’t turn out so well. The balls didn’t want to hold the form of a ball. Even though the popcorn pieces turned out to be a nice little sweet treat I decided to redo them with MORE marshmallows. Worked like a charm.

Of course, after I perfected my recipe, I wanted to share with the world that you can just use marshmallows to make yummy popcorn balls and I discovered everyone already knew it! Kinda reminded me of the time I started baking my potatoes in the slow cooker, thought I was the only one who knew that was even possible and come to find out, I wasn’t. Figures…I’m always the last person to know
