PIZZA! IN A CUP! Is AWESOME!
So, I was able to pick up 100 wonton wrappers for $1 and my plan for today was to make some raviolis. I love raviolis but I HATE those that come in a can. I’ve been wanting to make some for a while now, but I’ve been promising my daughter that I would make her pizza. So I decided to make pizza cups instead.
It wasn’t raviolis and it wasn’t pizza but it WAS delicious! AND they were so much quicker to make than raviolis OR pizza. We ate these for lunch today but they are so gonna be an after school snack staple in this house:)
So, you start by browning some lean ground turkey with some seasonings (it’s rare for us to eat beef) but feel free to use whatever meat you want. I think next time I make these delicious pizza cups I’m gonna just make up my homemade pizza sauce and add some pepperoni, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese. Um, yeah, maybe I should of done that today…
Oh well, maybe next time. O.K., so moving right along.
Mix in some tomato sauce,
Place wonton wrappers in muffin pan and fill with meat and tomato sauce mixture. Top with mozzarella
Bake and enjoy! We sure did:)
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 18 wonton wrappers
- 1-2 cups mozzarella cheese, it depends on how much cheese you like
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Combine ground turkey, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper in a skillet. Cook on medium until browned, breaking up the turkey.
- Drain.
- Add tomato sauce to seasoned meat and stir until combined.
- Place 1 wonton wrapper into individual muffin cups.
- Evenly fill each wrapper with meat and tomato sauce mixture.
- Top with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake pizza cups for 18-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
