This time of year is my favorite. All the upcoming holidays is when I get to spend the most time out of the year with my extended family. Awesome food, family time, cooler weather, fires in my fireplace, holiday get togethers…I could go on and on, but I won’t
One of the most favorite things about this time of year, though, is the time I reflect on how thankful I am to have so many awesome people in my life. And how being able to spend so much time with them brings me enough joy to last the rest of the year.
There’s this one person I know in blog land that gives throughout the year and I want to take the time and share her with all my readers. She makes these awesome birthday cakes and cupcakes for homeless children all year long. She goes above and beyond by making them all special for whatever birthday theme the children wish for. My featured favorite…
Her name is Alexis and she blogs over at Mom 2 My Crazy 2. Aren’t these angry bird cupcakes just too darn cute? These are the types of cupcakes she makes kids for their birthdays. Isn’t she awesome and talented? Y’all definitely need to go check out her tutorials for her creations. She does a step by step so even the most non-talented person, aka ME, can make these. And the fact that she makes them for others? Just awesome! Love your stuff Alexis!

Thanks Carrie! I love what she does and wish I had the time to become involved in something as important as what she does. Who couldn’t resist seeing a child’s face light up when they receive a special cake just for them on their birthday?
